About Strong Voice Special Education Advocacy in Pottstown, PA

30+ Years in Special Education—On Both Sides of the Table

Strong Voice Special Education Advocacy is a solo-practice LLC providing special education advocacy services to families in Pottstown, PA and communities throughout the greater Philadelphia area, including the Lehigh Valley, with support available to families nationwide.

The practice is led by Beth, who holds a Master’s in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Supervisor Certificate in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh.

Beth brings more than 30 years in public and private education to every case, including 10+ years as a special education teacher and 22 years in administration. That combination is not common in this field. Most advocates come from one direction: either the classroom or the legal side. Beth has worked inside special education departments at the administrative level and later as director of special education advocacy for a law firm, which means she understands what districts are designed to do, what they are constrained by, and where those constraints are often used as a barrier to appropriate services.

For families navigating IEPs, evaluations, eligibility determinations, and placement decisions, that perspective matters. Knowing how a district’s special education department operates from the inside changes what questions get asked, and how they get answered. Beth looks closely at whether annual goals are measurable and tied to baseline data, whether related services match your child’s identified needs, and whether the proposed placement is the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) in which your child can make meaningful progress.

Local Presence, National Reach

Beth is available to attend IEP meetings and strategy sessions in person throughout the greater Philadelphia area, including the Lehigh Valley. But your family doesn’t have to live nearby to get strong support.

Special education rights are rooted in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a federal law that sets the framework every state follows. Because the core protections are the same nationwide, Beth can guide families anywhere in the country through meetings, evaluations, and planning. She has worked with clients in California, Texas, Oregon, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, and many other states.

Whether you’re down the road or across the country, Beth can help you understand your rights and advocate effectively for your child.

A Practice Built From What Families Actually Need

Beth’s path into advocacy began in a private special education facility, teaching students with serious emotional disturbance classifications between the ages of 13 and 21. That work prompted deeper specialized training and eventually led her into administration, specifically to support and retain special education teachers who were leaving the field not because of the students, but because of systemic pressures. Years of managing those pressures from the inside shaped how she reads a district’s position at the IEP table today.

Her time directing special education advocacy for a law firm made one thing clear: families need more than legal representation at a single meeting. They need sustained support from someone who speaks both languages: the language of a parent who wants what’s right for their child, and the language of an administrator who knows what the district’s documentation actually says and why it was written that way.

The philosophy behind this practice is direct: parents are frequently overwhelmed by acronyms, procedural timelines, and district priorities that do not reflect their child’s individual needs. Better outcomes come from having someone in your corner who understands both what districts can provide and what they will not, and why. Every step of the process, from evaluation review to IEP development to dispute resolution, is guided with that context in place. That means looking closely at whether annual goals are measurable, whether related services match identified needs, and whether placement decisions honor the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) your child is entitled to.

Strong Voice Special Education Advocacy serves families in Pottstown, Collegeville, Royersford, Boyertown, King of Prussia, and surrounding Pennsylvania communities.

Because this is a solo practice, you work directly with Beth at every stage. There is no handoff to a junior staff member before a meeting or a coordinator who relays information secondhand. Beth reviews the records, attends the meetings, and guides the strategy. For families who have felt lost in the process or dismissed at the table, that continuity makes a practical difference.

Beth translates what the district’s language actually means for your child’s programming, identifies where the procedural record supports or undermines your position, and helps you understand what to ask for and why. That includes evaluating whether annual goals are measurable and based on current data, whether related services reflect your child’s needs, and whether the proposed placement is the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). The goal is not to create adversarial situations. It is to ensure that the people in the room understand you are informed, prepared, and not going away.
